San Diego, Part 2

Ok, Sofia must be busy. I'll put up the rest of her photos. More beach time.

Sofia said this picture was taken just for me. Thanks.

Oroscos minus one. Where is Diego?

Then just to rub it in my nose, they went to Stone World Bistro and Gardens.

Took the tour too. Sofia said it was massive. Looks like it.

She was also nice enough to get me a My Last Pint.

Then, not sure if it was the beer, but Santiago turned into Huggy McHuggerson.

"Oh, I'm not done, just taking a break."

Later, this.

Euro Beer #9 - The Harp

In the fall of 2007 Sofia and I traveled through Europe for 10 weeks. We ate a lot of food and drank of a lot of beer (and wine). Not enough food, not enough beer. These were our last beers in London:

Euro Beer #9 - The Harp

Killing time before meeting up Liz for dinner, we stumbled upon the Harp. And what a discovery! I knew upon walking into the pub, it was the real deal. This was to be our last beer in London and it was a fine way to end our days there. The spot was jumping with after-work drinkers. We grabbed our pints and sneaked towards the back. It felt good to be in a legit pub. Look how happy I was, almost a grin. The beer:

First up, Sofia had a Spitfire Ale and I had a Bateman's XXB. Both great, the XXB was amazing.

My Black Sheep Best Bitter. It was very good. I enjoyed it whilst taking in the lovely paintings adorning the Harp's walls.

San Diego, Part 1

Santi and Sofi went to San Diego, but she will never blog about it. So I must.

Tree climbing with the other monkeys: Diego, Mateo and of course Tere.

Santi is from TX, not accustomed to riding pelicans, but he eventually got the hang of it.

Beach time.

Swimming.

Shirt off, back in the water.

He didn't want to leave.

California dreaming.

Euro Beer #8 - Dog and Duck Pub

In the fall of 2007 my wife and I traveled through Europe for 10 weeks. We ate a lot of food and drank of a lot of beer (and wine). Not enough food, not enough beer. In London:

Euro Beer #8 - Dog and Duck Pub

We skipped trying to get fish and chips in Dublin, thinking they might be better in London. To find a a decent, yet reasonable joint we searched guidebooks at a Virginesque media store. Dog and Duck is what we came up with. We shared a large fish and chips (it was still early in our trip = still being cheap). Delicious. Much better than anywhere in the US, except for maybe what you could sometimes get at Chip Shop in Brooklyn.

Two pints as well – Fuller’s London Pride and Landlord Ale (Timothy Taylor). Both pleasing.
