Gordo and Bebe's Birthday Fiesta

Sorry about the slideshows, but it is the quickest way for me to get caught up.

Twitter Time

To expand my web presence and to offer you more content, I have joined twitter. Twitter is like a micro blog. The four most recent posts, or twitters will appear over there in the left column. Next time you check the blog and find no new posts, fear not, look left and hopefully I have at least added a few quick twitters. If not, I must really be slacking.

Merry Christmas

Sorry about the bloglag, vacation is keeping me busy...

It's Friday!!!!

Now its vacation time!

I love Sofia, but sometimes I think she is a straight up slacker.

Christmas Gift?

Still looking for a gift for me. Here's an idea!

Baby - Week 17

  • The umbilical cord is growing thicker and stronger.

  • Fetus weight is just over 5 ounces (150g).

  • Baby is about 5 inches (14cm) long crown to rump.

  • and would be about 9 inches (23cm) head to toe, if it could stretch out.

  • The retina has become sensitive to light.

  • The first stools (meconium) are now beginning to accumulate.

And on another note, Sofia's belly now has three sides: front, left and right

Go Becca!

Early Christmas

This past weekend, my folks came to Austin to celebrate Christmas before we dash off to Florida.

Full spooky moon.

This included a trip to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center that had paths of luminaries and lanterns.

And our traditional trip to Milto's (no pizza photo-Aaron was too hungry to click) and Toy Joy.

Tis the Season

Austin Christmas lights on 37th street.

Uh Oh. The fuzz.

Oh. How magical.

This is my favorite.

Baby - Week 16

-The fetus measures nearly 5 inches (12cm) from head to buttocks.
-The fetus weighs about 3.5 ounces (100 grams).
-The fetus is covered with a protective soft down to regulate its temperature.
-Fat begins to form underneath skin.
-Baby hears external voices, sleeps and dreams.

Thirsty Thursday #17

The Czar
by Avery Brewing, Boulder, CO
Style: Russian Imperial Stout
ABV: 11.73%

Tasty. This is like the fourth Avery beer I've done for Thirsty Thursday. I should broaden my horizons I guess. But this beer is soo good, I couldn't let it slip by without telling you. It is a seasonal so get it now. Avery is distributed pretty far now, so chances are you can get it. Go on now, what are you sitting around for?

It is a pretty standard imperial stout in most regards, but the flavor puts it over the top for me. I pick up caramel and apple, well I guess just caramel apple, whatever. It's delicious.

Better reviews here.

It snowed last night. This picture was from the Statesman.

Cooking a pizza with Sofia. We usually go by our favorite pizza joint and buy a lump of dough. This time out we bought a grocery store special roll of dough. Cheaper, but not as good. For some reason, Sofia designed this pizza in the shape of Minnesota.

Add your sauce and a layer of cheese. Mozzarella and Parmesan.

Add other toppings. Pepperoni, mushrooms, onions. Whatever you like.

Throw on another layer of cheese!

Ovenize it.

Tis yummy. Hoump it up!

What is this blog coming to?

Merry Times

The other day we went to buy a wreath for the apartment.

And some how we ended up buying a tree. Sofia could not resist. She told me "it's for the baby."
Oh no, love, don't start that yet.

Then we had to go hunt all over God's green earth for a tree stand. This was the sixth store we hit up.

Turkey Time

The Girls. Where is Leti?

Where's Leti?

I really have to cut this?

Ray Charles.

Seriously. Let's do this.

The nights lineup. Not too shabby.

Hold on a Second

The Cat (meow) is Out of the Bag

Let's make this official blogwise. Sofia is pregnant with our first niƱo. The due date June 1. Above is the latest "photo", a killer profile of his/her chromedome.

Turkey Pong

Sometime during the Thanksgiving weekend in Brownsville we had the ole ping pong tournament.

This is my frankenstein stance. A sure winner.

The cheering section.

Eric won. But I was close to beating his arse in the second round. This close.

Happy Birthday VickyG!

Two years old. They grow up so quickly.

Good Pig

Katia sent me this. It may be the best photo I've seen in 2008.
