George Update

You know we couldn't go through the weekend without visiting Cristy's. This is Cristy, Alex and Sofia watching Closer, which was worse the second time.

I fell asleep and so did George.

On our way to Matt and Whitney's on Saturday we saw a ghostly vision of Cristy floating along the Bergen St. station.

Could El Machuca be King?

Maybe it's the wine talking, but I think I might have a chance. At least top 5:

KING OF NEW YORK!

The Troll Museum is Bona-fide

This is the REAL New York. If you're ever in town, let's check out the Troll Museum.

I've had the honor of drinking a beer with Rev Jen. She is a good friend of mine (on myspace).

God bless those I leave with a sigh

The other day Ernest sent me a great link. It was probably the best link I've received/seen in the past two weeks. I love Bonnie Prince Billy (Will Oldham). I've been listening to this song over and over at work this week:

Goodbye Dear Old Stepstone (SCROLL DOWN TO SECOND SONG)

Warning: If your missing somewhere or someone, don't listen.

I don't like jellyfish, they’re not a fish, they're just a blob
They don’t have eyes, fins or scales like a cod
They float about blind, stinging people in the seas
And no one eats jellyfish with chips and mushy peas
Get rid of them

///

It would be spiteful
To put jellyfish in a trifle

///

For god sake, me belly ache
The doctor said it’s me kidney
He said he’s got to stick a tube up me knob
I said you got to be kiddning me
For god sake, knob ache

I'm on my seventh cold glass of gin

I took Chris, a fellow beeradvocate, on a pilgrimage to Bierkraft, a sacred Brooklyn Beer Site.

Later that night we also hit up Great Lakes, where to my great surprise they had Plymouth Gin.

So we had martinis.

Fruits.

Friday-Cafe Steinhof.

We had a pretty big crew all showing up at different times.

Christy and Jim, like everyone are getting married.

Sofia just socked me in the jaw.

Pops and Laurie. We'll see.

Kyle looks creepy.

As usual, chilling.

Da Mistas light.

Champagne, Turntables, Bodyguards, Clothing=Club Saks 5th Ave.

Now over to Sofia with latest news headlines.

Disapproval.

Chris got in there and showed em how it's done. You should have seen the commoners amazement. They must have thought he was Roddick.

This guy ruled.

Burgers thatta way.

CHRISSSS! No not you, one of the other ten Chris's.

We left our mark, well Matt's mark, at the Burger Joint. By the way, that place is great. I don't want to get too in depth, but it's this tasty burger place. It's cheap and it's in a very swank hotel. Whenever I am uptown, I'm eating there. The burgers are better than Corner Bistro.

Eazy Steezy E.

Dove Saturday.

Pops is gettin huggy.

See.

Back in Park Slope, Chris and I continued at the Gate. And then Grecian Corner.

Sorry Sofia.

Test nonlethal weapons on U.S. citizens, official says

I am going to post pictures soon enough. But I saw this while skimming the news this morning and just had to share it. Their logic is hilarious:

Manly, huh?

Some of you have been asking for a more manly post. I guess the video of George did'nt go over well. We have been busy lately. Visitors and such. Here:

We have been watching the first season of HBO's Rome. In the last episode we viewed, Cato commits suicide. That may not sound to manly, but read how he did it (from wikipedia):

...unwilling to live in a world led by Caesar and refusing even implicitly to grant Caesar the power to pardon him, he committed suicide. According to Plutarch, Cato attempted to commit suicide by stabbing himself with his own sword, but failed to do so due to an injured hand. One of Cato's slaves found him on the ground and called for a physician to stitch up and bandage Cato's wounds. Cato waited until they left him and then tore off the bandages and the stitches with his fingers and pulled out his own intestines, thereby completing his suicide attempt.

Enjoy your day. (You asked for it.)

Over the weekend we went to Danielle and Cristy's house. They have the same coffee table. Whoah, DIMENSIONS!!!!!!!!!

Cristy said she invited us so that we could clean out her fridge of beer they had leftover from a party. Oh yeah, well I only came over to see George. He loves me. And I love him.

Lookin' sharp George.

Not Quite 100%

Something aint sittin' right.

RIP

Apparently I'm behind on a lot of stuff. I just heard that Steve Irwin died. That's sad.

The coroner's report show he died due to lack of posts on Sofia y El Machuca.
