Sights of the Old World - June 26

Like I said, we're busy. Today is my Dad's birthday. Happy Birthday! Now let us continue where we left off.

Our last day in Munich we visited the Palace Botanical Gardens.

They were huge. It was too much almost. This was inside one of the many greenhouses. The greenhouses were all sweatfactories.

Outside it was beautiful. Taking a rest in the gazebo, Leti gave us a little "Hips Don't Lie" performance.

We all enjoyed it.

One last shot of our hotel. Now it's on to Prague.

Sights of the Old World - June 25

This is the day we went biking in Munich. Hmmm, where is Javier?

Los Machucas.

Ludwig building.

Ludwig building II. Are you starting to see how Munich stole all their architecture?

Fountain at the university.

(This is shaping up to be quite a post, huh?)

Oh look, another fountain. I know more info about all these sights, but I just can't remember right now.

OK, here's a little excitement. See those people on the right, down by the river. They're naked.

One of the original city gates, part of a greater city wall that is no longer around.

Old (some not really old, but rebuilt after the war) Munich buildings.

I wish our church had this kind of art. Machuca style.

I hate Ashton Kutcher.

These lions are all around the city. I think this is the worst one. Nice butt though.

Tere walked through the fountain.

Next day, we went back to the Palace to explore more.

The place is infested.

Pictures were not allowed in the main house. This was in the carriage house.

Another animal.

Bored? Or hungry? Probably hungry. Javier kept repeating: litre, litre, litre.

Yup, I know.

Have I used this picture already? This was after the Germany/Sweden game. We were watching Mexico lose while enjoying some schnitzle (this is kind of World Cup craziness in the Old World).

MTA sucks. The subways in Munich were lovely.

See. Everyone is happy. In New York everyone is pissed.

McDonald's was hoppin' that night.

Sights of the Old World - June 23

Sorry for the weak amount of posts. It's not for lack of material, cause I got a ton. I just haven't found the time (lie). These are the sights/family/whatever shots from our first day. The first two are in front of our hotel in Munich. The place was stellar and Sebastian was a great host. I love that guy.

After meeting up at the hotel and hopping in the de-frank (shower), we headed to the Hirschgarten (previously mentioned in the drinking post) for lunch.

Leti wanted to go to Maria's but she was outvoted.

Not only do they have gigantic beer, they also have deer (Hirsch = deer, I just learned).

Our hotel was in the Park Slope of Munich. I guess that makes the Hirschgarten Great Lakes.

After lunch we headed to the Nymphenburg Palace.

If your not keeping track for yourself, that would make this the Aaron and Sofia's Apartment of Munich.

The palace bum.

The palace troll.

See the baby goose. I was trying to get in close for a good shot and the parents went totally nuts. Stupid gooses.

This was just inside the hunting lodge. We don't go into the actual palace until tomorrow (June 24).

Pimp my ride.

I don't know who this statue is, but I'll bet a million dollars it's either a Ludwig or a Maximilian.

Archs or Arches?

Residenztheater.

Hofbräuhaus Band. This was our first visit to the Hofbräuhaus. We didn't eat/drink anything this time, just passin' through.

Marienplatz=Times Square.

This blog stinks.
